What is the AFA

Background

The Aragon Trade Fair Association was created on 23 May 1997 in Saragossa through the approval of its Articles of Association.  A determining factor in the creation of this Association was the need for a common body to negotiate with the Regional Government about sector legislation and financial support.

In addition to its founding partners, the Association consists of those Institutions, Associations, Boards and Business Organisations whose sole objective is the promotion and organisation of Trade Fairs and who, being authorised by the Regional Government for this purpose and listed in the Official Trade Fair Registry, request inclusion in the Association, this request being approved by the General Assembly. The A.F.A. is registered in the General Registry of Associations in the Autonomous Community of Aragon under number 01-Z-0326-97.

Objectives

• The main aims of the Aragon Trade Fair Association are to defend the interests of its members and promote unity between them, as well as encouraging the creation of new trade fair events.
• The Association is clear about not including in its objectives any actions which are for profit.
• The Association is active in the Autonomous Community of Aragon.
